HBT is the abbreviation of HERRINGBONE-TWILL, which means herringbone twill. Just like its name, the texture of this weave is very fishbone, with "V" overlapping and arranged, and the two adjacent rows are in opposite directions (there are also similar weaves, which will be discussed later). It is also translated as "herringbone pattern". The origin of HBT can be traced back to the late 19th century and the early 20th century. In 1908, the United States distributed denim fabrics as work clothes. At that time, the fabrics used in the United States were mainly denim and cotton. On April 3, 1941, ARMY finalized the new HBT, which was widely used in the field of work clothes and uniforms. The design and structure of this fabric make it wear-resistant and durable. During World War II, HBT clothing was more widely used. Due to its durability, breathability and comfort, it became one of the common uniforms.

This ARMY HBT jacket has the specification Q.M.C.Tent.Spec.P.Q.D.No.45D. According to the label, the specification was promulgated on March 12, 1943, and the order was signed on May 3, 1944. The specification number of the first generation HBT jacket is PQD45, and the subsequent iterations are PQD45A, 45B, 45C, 45D, and 45E. The specification of this HBT jacket was finalized in 1943, so it is generally called P43 (Pattern 1943). The more obvious feature of P43 is the two oversized rectangular pockets on the chest. The square pockets have pleats in the middle and also have flat pockets. The fabric HBT herringbone pattern is different from P41. The color is OD color, and ARMY boiled black 13-star metal buttons are used. ARMY's HBT jacket has a windshield added to the left side of the inner side of the door opening starting from PQD45C. It is called Gasflap in the archives. The purpose is to enhance defense against poisonous gas, which is reflected in this PQD45D.

The P43 tops and bottoms produced by GIZEMO this time are restored according to the original pattern and details.
