First denim jacket (World War II model)
First denim jacket (World War II model)
This denim blouse was created under the control of the government to alleviate the shortage of materials during World War II. It omitted the pocket flaps that were on previous models and changed the number of front buttons from five to four.
GIZEMO has recreated a denim jacket produced during World War II using 14.5oz denim made in Okayama.
Pink selvedge woven on Toyota's "GL-9" old-fashioned power loom. Denim woven on old-fashioned power looms has uneven surfaces (neps) compared to regular denim, and these uneven surfaces create shadows on the surface, creating a three-dimensional, beautiful texture.
Material: 14.5oz Okayama denim
